This busy spot was built in 1819, as a way to connect Regent Street with Piccadilly. Over the years, it’s become an iconic London landmark thanks to the Shaftesbury Memorial, the statue of Anteros and the illuminated advertising hoardings (fun fact: the first ad was for Perrier in 1908).
