This annual two-week festival features an impressively eclectic programme of musical events – folk, pop, classical, jazz, opera and more – as well as talks, workshops, tours and visual art. Creative use of interesting spaces is a big part of the festival’s ethos, so expect to find interesting sounds in museums, churches, civic halls and historic private homes. Fancy a bit of Tudor choral music in the Tower of London? Want to hear weird electronica woven among the trees in a cemetery? Up for some hauntological tape music in a pathology museum, or intimate recitals in a Huguenot weaving house? This is the one for you.
