Two of London's most exciting live bands perform a 'sonic simultaneous poem'. It's an idea inspired by the Surrealist practice of simultaneous poetry, which involves two poets reading aloud at the same time in the same place – the point is the overall effect, rather than either of the individual poems. Post-punk queens Savages and Japanese psych-noise kings Bo Ningen, it would seem, are to do the same with 'improvisation, noise and' – yep – 'poetry'. Basically, this will be just as arty as it is loud and ferocious: a combination that hasn't exactly been plentiful on the London music scene recently. Earplugs will be supplied.
