Widely regarded as the definitive document of the scratchy, twee, lo-fi sound of early British indie music, and the catalyst for the scene's late-’80s explosion, the NME's 'C86' cassette tape is being rereleased as an expanded box set. This launch show features bands included on the original tape, including The Wedding Present (headlining and always worth catching live), The Wolfhounds, A Witness and David Westlake of The Servants, as well as more veterans of the era: The Membranes, Yeah Yeah Noh, The Claim, and Simon Barber of The Chesterfields playing his old band's songs with his new project Design. It'll be a trip down memory lane for all concerned.
