Time Out says

Now that ‘House’ isn’t on any more, one of our most loveable and favoured exports has more time to sing the blues with his Copper Bottom Band. Long-time Laurie-watchers will be familiar with his talents as a vocalist and pianist, but you might not be aware that he’s an avid blues fan, covering songs by Jelly Roll Morton, WC Handy and Dr John on his new album, ‘Didn’t It Rain’. He admits to being ‘a white, middle-class Englishman, openly trespassing on the music and myth of the American south’ – but he’s a respectful and talented trespasser.
