Already a blockbuster in several Indian regional languages, it arrives in Hindi as 'Rowdy Rathore' and is just as unpretentious and undemanding as its predecessors. Conman Shiva (Akshay Kumar) falls for Priya (Sonakshi Sinha) at a wedding. When a little girl claims to be Shiva’s daughter, he is understandably perplexed. Inexplicable plot developments mean that he must travel to Bihar, a lawless town, in order to clear his name, and to clean up the town.
If you are a fan of mindless ‘masala’ Bollywood flicks, this will be a treat. It's loud, the action set pieces are violent and the songs, in particular a saucy dance number, are catchy. Tamil dancer turned director Prabhu Deva fills his second Hindi feature with fights, flashbacks and a double dose of ageing ‘action-king’ Akshay Kumar. Forgettable fun.
