Time Out says

So, London renters, a question for you. The guy you sub-let the downstairs to dies of a drug overdose and you find his stash of £200k – do you pocket the money? Anyone who’s seen ‘Shallow Grave’ would give the dosh a seriously wide berth. But Americans-in-London James Franco and Kate Hudson decide the cash will keep their heads above water, after pouring all their savings into restoring his late grandma’s crumbling detached house across town (quite why they didn’t borrow the renovation costs against the potential sale is a mystery).

What follows is a fairly standard white-people-in-peril thriller, which survives a dreary first hour then picks up by getting the power tools out for a rollicking final stand-off against evil crims eager to retrieve their ill-gotten gains. All of which might have been even more enjoyable were Franco and Hudson not such bland leads, leaving Tom Wilkinson’s dogged cop to steal all his scenes.
