Superbly soulful R&B singer, producer and writer MNEK has had a hand in plenty of awesome projects (singing on club smashes including Gorgon City's 'Ready for Your Love' and Duke Dumont's 'Need U (100%)' and co-writing The Saturdays' pop gem 'All Fired Up') and he's only nineteen. Sickening, eh?
Still, we'll forgive him as he's so damn good at it. Tonight is his first headline London show, where he'll be playing tracks from his upcoming debut album, and he's announcing himself in style, by throwing a party. Taking place in the semi-industrial confines Dalston Department Store, MNEK has even brough a few of his pals along to DJ at the party to keep everyone moving and grooving: Clara Amfo from BBC Radio 1XTRA and Kartel Brown from hedonsitic rave-up Your Mum's House. Expect bangers, and plenty of them, which should serve as a nice counterpoint to MNEK's live performance of his '90s R&B-kissed tracks. This is where the party's at tonight, no question.
MNEK's party is now sold out, but you can win one of five pairs of tickets by entering our competition. Read our interview with MNEK for details of how to enter.
