After months of impatiently waiting to find out if the mythical night tube might actually launch sometime this century, it looks like it could finally happen this summer. Earlier this week we heard that TfL has pencilled in this August for the official launch of the new 24-hour service, while Boris Johnson – ever the optimist – reckons it might be ready in July.

To celebrate the fact that travelling round London in the early hours of the morning is (hopefully) about to get a whole lot easier, the folks at Mixmag have created this handy alternative night tube map, which shows all the clubs you'll be able to get to without having to shell out for an Uber at peak price surging time. Once the night tube service launches, you'll be able to whizz across London with ease (hello, Victoria line) – although that does mean you can't really use not being able to get home as an excuse to stay in and watch telly. But just think of all the time and money you'll save not having to get expensive cabs or slow-moving night buses, meaning you'll be able to stay out later AND buy more drinks. Win-win.
