Those who accuse us Londoners of being an unwelcoming bunch are barking up the wrong tree, as Wimbledon’s Hand in Hand pub has just been named the most dog-friendly pub in the entire UK. The title, given out by dog-sitting platform DogBuddy, was awarded to the pub for rolling out the red carpet for pooches.
Placed right by Wimbledon Common, it’s unsurprising that man’s best friend rules supreme at this pub, and complimentary dog biscuits and a prize for Dog of the Day gave the pub an edge over the rest of the competition. The Hand in Hand is said to be on a first-name basis with all its doggy clientele, and staff there are even considering creating a wall of fame for their most loyal pup visitors.
