The night tube is definitely being delayed

It's been a week of ups and downs in the world of London transport news – the tube strikes got cancelled (yay!) but now it looks like the night tube is definitely not launching on September 12 as planned (boo!).

There's been a whole lot of um-ing and ahh-ing surrounding the launch of the night tube because of a dispute between unions and TfL about rotas and working conditions. London Underground has been negotiating with the unions but has decided to delay the launch until they resolve the dispute. A new launch date hasn't been confirmed yet, but London Underground has said it wants to reach an agreement to launch 'in the autumn'. It's all pretty vague but hopefully it means that the proposed strikes on September 8 and 10 might not go ahead. Either way, it looks like we'll be stuck trekking home on the night bus a little longer.
