Ah, the Garden Bridge. For some people, the leafy crossing sounds like a glorious oasis of green space, but others have criticised the project as a mega waste of money. But like it or not, it looks like the Garden Bridge is one step closer to actually happening, as Lambeth council and the Garden Bridge Trust have finally reached an agreement on the public funding contribution from TfL, limiting it to £10 million rather than the originally proposed £30m. Lambeth Council had been reluctant to move forward with the project until TfL agreed to cut the contribution from London taxpayers.
