Thought you were having a bad Monday morning? Spare a thought for the poor folks in Islington, where a burst water main has caused chaos this morning, with around 100 people having to be evacuated from their homes. The pipe burst at around 5am this morning, and the water is two metres deep in some basement properties, according to the fire brigade.

Parts of Islington including Colebrooke Row, Upper Street, Charlton Place and Camden Passage have all been closed and now the London Fire Brigade is pumping out the water into a nearby canal.
