London's new floating garden, Farmopolis, opens to the public on the Greenwich Peninsula this Saturday.
Tens of thousands of plants left over from Chelsea Flower Show have been rehomed at the new venue.
As well as a leafy backdrop, the brand new venue will offer a café-bar and a line-up brimming with interesting workshops and events, many of which are free.
This Saturday's free, family-friendly daytime party offers will involve theatrical performances, botanical jewellery, a Literary Death Match, live music and more.
Farmopolis are already planning ‘planning a makers-space and food incubator, large-scale event and festival spaces, hydroponic farming and sustainable innovations, green spaces and orchards, farm-to-table restaurants and major art commissions, community engagement and event programming year-round across the harvest seasons.'
