In this week's depressing news, there's a 'studio flat' for rent with a toilet in the kitchen cupboard, there are probably more tube strikes on the way, and now another of London's independent live music venues is under threat. The Silver Bullet in Finsbury Park is at risk from closing down, as the building's leaseholder has decided to sell the lease to the Goodman Restaurants Group, a steakhouse brand, which also owns Burger & Lobster.
But all is not lost just yet. The venue's managers have a launched a crowdfunding campaign to help raise money so that they can buy the lease instead. There's also a petition calling on Goodman Restaurants Group to back down from the deal, which has been signed by more than 1,500 people. If you haven't done so already, you can sign it here.
Here are the ten best gigs this week that you can still get tickets for.
