How do you make the ultimate burger? Add extra bacon? Stuff it with a load of cheese? Pah, that's amateur talk. Poco founder Tom Hunt is showing us how it's done by bringing together some of London's top chefs to create a 5 Star Burger - and he ain't messing around. So what's in it? Two 50-day-aged Bleecker Street patties, topped with a trotter Cotechino made by Jackson Boxer, comté cheese, impatient rainbow pickles from Elly Pear - all stuffed inside a brioche bun that's been doused in Tom Hunt’s salsa quemada and aioli. Oh, and a side of Bleecker Street fries and Som Saa’s seriously spicy chilli sauce. And veggies don't have to miss out on the fun either, as you can swap the meat for deep-fried tofu patties instead.
Wash it all down with rosemary and thyme gin fizz cocktails - and if you've still got room for dessert, they're serving up affogatos courtesy of Jude’s Ice Cream and TOMS coffee. Profits from the event will go to Action Against Hunger, so you'll be stuffing your face all in the name of charity, which is more than you can say for your usual post-pint double cheeseburger.
Tickets include the 5 Star burger, fries, a cocktail and dessert. Get tickets here.
