Autumn shmautumn, it's beginning to feel a hell of a lot like winter out there. So you might as well prepare for the colder seasons by booking up all the fun stuff that they bring (yes, fun exists without sunshine, apparently).

One of our fave wintery things to do is flail around while trying to take picturesque selfies on the beautiful Skate at Somerset House ice rink. This year it opens on November 28 (running until Jan 10) but tickets are going on sale at 10am today so get booking. There will be club nights from Ministry of Sound, Island Records, and The South London Soul Train, plus a Prince-themed evening with Rob da Bank called ‘Purple Rave’ (of course). There'll also be jazz evenings, a fancy après-skate Fortnum and Mason lodge and a Christmas arcade. Okay, we agree, it's a bit early for the C word, but it's never too early to think about ice-skating. Start practising your 'Blades of Glory' routines ASAP.

Book tickets here.
