It's hard to raise a smile on January 2. After the extended fun and partying of New Year's Eve and New Year's Day, January 2 always seems like a bit of a damp squib. Or at least it was until party professionals Smile High announced a massive party on that very day for 2016 at brilliant industrial playground Tobacco Dock.

Time Out can exclusively reveal that Norman Cook – better known as long-standing, globe-hopping, beat-throwing DJ Fatboy Slim – will be headlining, which should bring a lot of, well, smiles to a lot of faces. As well as Cook's masterful party-starting skills behind the decks, punters can enjoy loads of other great sets from a line-up that includes crate-diggers 2ManyDJs, London nightlife luminary Erol Alkan, deep house dons Breach and Ben Pearce, Horse Meat Disco's Severino and many more.

The daytime event will also feature all kinds of smiley-based fun and weirdness to keep those New Year's Eve/New Year's Day party vibes flowing thick and fast, including plenty of high-end production, performers, large-scale projections and the option of a Smile High Club makeover, which is exactly as bizarre as it sounds. The perfect way to banish any hint of the January blues.

Smile High tickets can be purchased here. And if you're looking for NYE options don't forget to check our New Year's Eve parties page here.
