When you're in the mood for something boozy, an overpriced, watery piña colada just isn't going to cut it. But alcohol innovators Smith & Sinclair are launching a new sensory pop-up bar at the Sanderson Hotel on Friday, which will definitely satisfy those post-work cocktail cravings.
Last year the duo hosted a pop-up on Carnaby Street with alcoholic bubbles and infused candyfloss. This year they are taking their Willy Wonka-style treats to a whole new level of boozy fun. At the 'Flavour Room' it's all about sherbet Walls, (yes, an actual wall of sherbert), edible perfumes and concoctions which change colour and flavour as they are consumed.
For those who remember spending all their pocket money on pick ‘n’ mix, there will be a selection of the duo's most popular pastilles — including flavours such as G&T, long island iced tea and whisky sours. They've even given everyone's favourite lollypop and sherbet combo (Dib Dabs, obvs) a boozy makeover – you can create your own flavoured lollipops including negroni, raspberry collins and pina colada with alcoholic gels. Sweet!
Smith & Sinclair at Purple Bar runs from Fri Nov 18 - Sat Dec 24 at the Sanderson Hotel, 50 Berners Street, W1T 3NG.
