Coles opens her new 3,000 square feet gallery in the heart of Mayfair's art district this November. Designed by 6a architects, the two-floor space will host shows in parallel with the gallery's two other sites on Kingly Street and Balfour Mews. Coles started out in the art world as a gallery director for Anthony d'Offay, opening her own gallery, Sadie Coles HQ in 1997. She made her name by being one of the first champions of Sarah Lucas (one of the original YBA's), and has some of the scene's hottest properties on her books including 2005 Turner Prize nominee Jim Lambie, figurative American painter John Currin and the late Angus Fairhurst recently adding Darren Bader, Helen Marten and Jordan Wolfson.
