It’s Jarman2014, a yearlong celebration of the pioneering filmmaker, painter, gardener and activist. To start the festivies is the Cultural Institute at King’s organized exhibition that marks the 20th anniversary of the former Humanities student’s death in 1994 from an HIV-related illness. Centered around Jarman’s relationship with London and in particular the Thames, the diverse influences of literature and the Medieval era come through in the rarely seen Super 8 films and immersive displays in the Inigo Rooms.
