Mile End Park may not be able to rival the scenery of South East Asia but it can still host a colourful floating market, featuring instead of small wooden vessels on the klongs an array of barges and narrowboats on the Regent's Canal. Goods ranging from books and hats to vintage frocks and handicrafts will be for sale from floating emporia such as Frocks A Float and Chapeau Bateau, with lots of food on offer including barbecued Bratwürste from the Marilyn and a changing menu of snacks from the Sandwich Barge. Between August 20 and September 9, the market moves to Little Venice.
