The Royal Opera House presents a water-bound production of 'The Owl and the Pussycat' on London's waterways. Inspired by the Edward Lear poem and featuring a libretto by Monty Python's Terry Jones and a newly-commissioned score by composer Anne Dudley, this opera on a barge will travel along London's canals and waterways, with performances at various locations along the route as it journeys from west to east. The cast includes Amy Freston, Samantha Houston, Tyrone Landau, Claire Wild, Peter Willcock and Freddie Tong. Performances will also feature community choirs from Hounslow, Ealing, Westminster, Islington and Tower Hamlets. Part of the 'Secrets' programme of the London 2012 Festival. The remaining performances are in Graham Street Gardens, N1 (Jul 29), Mile End Park (Jul 31), Olympic Park (Aug 2, open to Olympic Games ticket holders only). See the website for times and ticket details. Age 5+.
