From the same team as the Arts Café, this kitchen and bar on Wharf Street is on the old Livebait site. It looks good, with exposed brickwork, loads of hanging filament lights and skylights letting the sun in during the day. The food isn't afraid to be adventurous, with the duo of lamb - rump and hay-baked belly served with a pea and broad bean purée, dehydrated olives, French style peas and hay oil - just one example.
There's an excellent range of beers, with five on the pumps and 13 by the bottle. All but four of the wines and champagnes are available by the glass, and cocktails range from classic concoctions to signature drops.
