Leeds foodies will probably already know that Leeds Indie Food, a fortnight-long celebration of the city's increasingly renowned talent for serving up delicious food, has been in the planning stages for a long time. But finally, the organisers have announced exactly what they've been cooking up for the hungry folk of Leeds.

Leeds Indie Food will take place May 7-24 with nearly 100 events across the festival's various strands, which include dining, beer, wine and spirits, street food and, curiously, food culture. The latter strand will feature talks, film screenings, workshops and, for the highfalutin foodies among you, The Great Edible Art Show, where you can eat the art.

#LIF15 events will be hosted in restaurants, cafés, bars, pubs, cinemas, art galleries, breweries and more right across Leeds.

To close the two-week celebration, The Tetley will be hosting a grand Leeds Feast for proper gluttons on May 22-23. There'll be a craft-beer tent, cocktails, children's area, and much, much more.

For the keenest (read: hungriest) among you, the festival are offering the Leeds Indie Food Passport, a notebook with priority ticket sales, discounts and free access to Leeds Feast.

Tickets for the first 80 events are on sale right now from the freshly spruced-up Leeds Indie Food website.
