An apocalypse of cute is upon us. For all things cute, Anista Tokyo has opened the first official Japanese character pop-up café and shop in Mid Valley. For now it’s Alpacasso (think Alpaca, but Picasso), a ridiculously endearing café full of multi-coloured Alpacasso plushies and alpaca-themed food. We’re serious – there’s a soda topped with an alpaca made of cotton candy, a fluffy Alpacasso teriyaki burger, pancakes imprinted with the face of the character, and more. In the future, expect more characters such as Pokémon, Banao, Neko Atsume and Rilakkuma as the café’s theme du jour.
