Ippudo's third outlet takes on a fresh look and concept. Customers are greeted with a full-fledged bar serving cocktails, whisky, sake and wine, while a glance at the menu will reveal 15 new appetisers and light snacks. Seafood sushi rolls and kushiyaki skewers, a type of yakitori made from premium beef, salmon and egg, are among the palate teasers.
The star of the new menu however, is the kuro ramen, a dish of thick, chewy noodles served in Ippudo’s original tonkotsu broth and topped with slices of pork and a handful of black fungus. This ramen is only made available at the BSC outlet. Also expect signature ramen dishes, whether the classic Hakata-style shiromaru motoaji that pairs the tonkotsu broth with ultra-thin noodles and pork loin, or the modern-style akamaru shinaji featuring the additional flavours of miso paste and garlic oil.
