One of Publika’s most anticipated openings is run by the same people as Bangsar’s El Meson, but between the two, Estilo wins in ambiance. Funky is the word, rightfully justified by suspended rattan chairs, vivid wall pieces and Middle Eastern glass lamps. Just two doors down from The Social, Estilo generates buzz from after-work crowds for its expansive wine list and superb Spanish menu. Chef Pedro Diaz, a former El Rincon man, is heating up the Publika dining scene with his well-executed range of pork-free tapas and mains. If the paella doesn’t invigorate the night, a roast spring chicken from the rotisserie with a side of traditional Mojo sauce will.
