'Otak Jepun' examines the role environment and cultural identity have on the young Malaysian and how these patterns can help develop their own sense of identity. The series revisits the 'Dasar Pandang ke Timur' (Look East Policy) in a visual contemporary positioning. The first installation in the series features artist Yutaka Inagawa, a lecturer at the Onomichi University. His photomontage studies on everyday life are his preliminary visuals that result in fragmented cuts evoking humorous pixelated scenes.
