Time Out says

Taxi driver Flanagan (Bosco) dreams of the stage, but with middle age setting in, feels time is running out. Imprisoned by his work, he sees no escape. Down on his luck, all Flanagan has left is the comfort of the printed word (Shakespeare), and the love of an ageing mother (Page). Granted flashbacks to whisky-swigging immigrant fathers quoting sonnets are tough to swallow, but if you can get past the mechanics, you're in for some warm moments. Top marks to Goldstein, in his first feature, for tasting the flavour of New York's outer boroughs. His contemporary taxi trip, despite the affected after-taste, grasps the traditional essence: all the world's a stage, even the back seat of Flanagan's cab.
