Moved from it's regular slot on the Mound Precinct, the official Edinburgh's Hogmanay ceilidh has been iven room to spread out in the city's Old Town this year (don't worry - the midnight fireworks display from Edinburgh Castle has also been reconfigured so the ceilidh crew will get their share of the pyrotechnics). Dance along to traditional Scottish numbers like 'The Gay Gordons', 'The Dashing White Sergeant' and 'The Canadian Barn Dance' before joining your fellow dancers in a world record attempt at the world's longest 'Strip the Willow'. There'll be callers on hand for those unfamilar with the dance steps, while the music will be provided by the Cask Strength Ceilidh Band, Whisky Kiss, Ceilidhdonia and Sporran Again.
