Edinburgh Festival Carnival

Officially an Edinburgh Jazz and Blues Festival event, this colourful, large-scale procession and afternoon of music and festivity heralds the start of Edinburgh's festival period, with over 700 performers parading down the Mound to Princes Street Gardens West and the Grassmarket for a big ol' party.
