
While St Andrew's Day (November 30) is perhaps not as prominent as, say, St Patrick's Day, the celebration of Scotland's patron saint (handily situated between Halloween, Christmas and New Year) is still marked with some deal of ceremony. Traditional Scottish ceilidhs are danced, stories are told, haggis is eaten and more than a couple of whiskies are imbibed.
