Gruff Rhys’s ‘American Interior’ project is as magnificently sprawling as the landscape it stories – a concept album, a book, a film, an app and a Power Point-based live performance experience, all based on the same theme of 18th century Welsh accidental-explorer-extraordinaire John Evans’ remarkable but little-known exploits. For this tour, the Super Furry Animals singer will be joined by a live band featuring ex-Flaming Lips drummer Kliph Scurlock.
