MCA Prime Time: Purple

The Museum of Contemporary Art after-hours series offers up an evening of live music, performance art, film screenings and local food. In May, Metro and Smart Bar team up to curate a tribute to Prince, including performances by local funk and soul artist Avery R. Young, LA producers DJDS and Chicago beat makers the Hood Internet. Installations will be centered around the music of Smart Bar DJs, while guests can head to the terrace to hear sets from Wet Mouth, Bruce Lamont, Oscillator Bug and Savile. Attendees will also be able to chill out in an outdoors relaxation zone designed by artist Tegan Brace.
