Featuring three former members of Kids These Days, local band Marrow is a young band with connections to some of Chicago's most notable musicians. Guitarist and singer Liam Kazar plays with Jeff and Spencer Tweedy's family band, while singer and keyboardist Macie Stewart has toured with Chance the Rapper. When they're not on the road, Marrow lays down sprawling folk-rock in a basement studio, highlighting the interplay between the vocals of Kazar and Stewart. Here, the group celebrates the release of its full-length debut, The Gold Standard, and send off bassist Lane Beckstrom, who is leaving the group to persue his solo project. Roots rocker Al Scorch kicks off the Black Friday show.
