[title]Yogi Berra coined the phrase "Déjà vu all over again." And then John Fogerty used it as an album title. Point is, there's not much originality and surprise left to us. Today Lollapalooza Chicago annouced the complete lineup of the three-day concert that goes down in Grant Park, August 1–3. And the festival has quite a familiar feel.
Five of the six headliners are repeat performers (click the links to see our coverage)—Eminem (2011), Kings of Leon (2003, 2007, 2009), Arctic Monkeys (2009, 2011), Skrillex (2011, 2013 with Dog Blood), Calvin Harris (2012). Harris also headlined the 2013 edition of Spring Awakening. The outlier is the reunited OutKast, though the rap duo is hitting just about every other music festival this summer too (including Summerfest in Milwaukee).
Subheadliners like Foster the People (2011) and Zedd (2012) return as well. Newcomer Lorde makes her debut at the C3 produced event, as do roots-rockers the Avett Brothers.
Adding to the sense of familiarity: Foster the People plays a sold-out show at the Riv on May 16. Kings of Leon recently passed through United Center. Lorde filled Aragon last week.

Three-day passes sold out yesterday in about 70 minutes. Single-day passes are being offered today at 10am.
