Scottish trio CHVRCHES continues to mine middleground between synth-pop and EDM on its latest album, Screen Violence, melding the vulnerable Glaswegian vocals of singer Lauren Mayberry with dense electronic arrangements (complete with anthemic builds and drops). The record also includes a moody yet anthemic collaboration with Cure frontman Robert Smith, who harmonizes with Mayberry—honestly, we'd listen to an entire record of these two dueting. And even if the band's latest tracks leave you cold, it's not like they'll be ignoring the more emotional compositions found on The Bones of What You Believe in concert. Pop singer-songwriter Donna Missal opens the show.
