More than one million people lined the streets of Uptown and Boystown for what's threatened to be the Chicago Pride Parade's last trip through those neighborhoods. Aldermen James Cappleman and Tom Tunney have made noise about moving the parade downtown in response to some residents' complaints about its disruptiveness.
Whatever happens next year, the mood today was extra celebratory following Friday's Supreme Court decision that will make marriage equality the law of the land across the United States. We hit the streets to capture the colorful floats, even more colorful crowds and elated smiles along the route.
