As the cold months of winter continue to drag on, you've probably become best friends with the cashier at the fast food joint on the ground floor of your office building while coming to terms with your limited cooking skills. Fortunately, warmer temperatures are on the way, as well as some additional options for lunch in the Loop.
The City of Chicago’s Small Business Center and the Department of Business Affairs and Consumer Protection have announced a series of Food Truck Fests, which will take place in Daley Plaza and at Willis Tower. The food truck gatherings at Daley Plaza will be a weekly affair (the first one is this afternoon, from 11am–2pm) while the Willis Tower fests will be a monthly occurrence. Participating trucks will be announced on Twitter each week using the hashtag #Chifoodtruckfests.
