Say greetings and salutations to the cast of Kokandy Productions' Heathers: The Musical.
The Chicago premiere of the 2010 musical, adapted by Laurence O'Keefe (Legally Blonde), Kevin Murphy and Andy Fickman (Reefer Madness) from the cult-classic 1988 movie satire about murderous high school high jinks, will star Courtney Mack as Veronica and Chris Ballou as J.D. (the Winona Ryder and Christian Slater roles, respectively), with Jacquelyne Jones, Haley Jane Schafer and Rochelle Therrien as the trio of Heathers.
Also in the cast are Teressa LaGamba as Martha "Dumptruck" Dunstock, Garrett Lutz as Kurt, Denzel Tsopnang as Ram and Veronica Garza as Pauline Fleming/Mrs. Sawyer. Caitlyn Cerza, Diego Colon, Carly Cozad, Colin Funk, Casey Hayes, Meghan Shanahan, Andrew Sickel and Andrew Spatafora round out the ensemble.
Heathers will be directed by James Beaudry, with musical direction by Kory Danielson and choreography by Sawyer Smith. The show runs February 28–April 24 at Theater Wit.
