For all the misanthropes or self-conscious wine amateurs out there, this might be the place for you—and we mean that in the best way possible. Exhaustive, hand-scribbled notes dot the small selection of wines on display, and the unpretentious, low-key staff will leave you to your own devices if you so wish. But should you get the courage to ask, they’ll gladly tell you the difference between Syrah and Shiraz (not much) without that supercilious tone that makes you want to punch most wine snobs.
