The Chicago History Museum's newest exhibit assembles a collection of seemingly unremarkable object pulled from the museum's vaults and digs into their backstories. From the lamp that started the Iroquois Theatre fire in 1903 to a table from the Appomattox Court House, Virginia on which General Robert E. Lee surrendered to General Ulysses S. Grant during the Civil War, the artifacts on display are more than meets the eye.
