In the 1960s, sculptors began taking their pieces off of pedestals and creating immersive artworks that become a part of the gallery instead of its focal point. "S, M, L, XL" explores the role of sculpture by presenting four different works that increase in physical size and ambition. Ranging from an impossibly narrow hallway to the interior a decommissioned hot air balloon, viewers are able to inhabit these sculptures and explore the physical and emotional boundaries of the medium.
