Bristol's very own Grillstock festival returns for a sixth year this summer, bringing more meat and music than ever to the Harbourside for the weekend of July 11 - 12.

Now a much loved fixture of Bristol's bristling summer festival programme, Grillstock gives carnivores the chance to chow down on some serious BBQ as bands and DJs perform over two stages.

The headliners for this year's event have just been announced, with hip hop legends De La Soul set to play on Saturday night supported by Goldie Lookin' Chain, and local band The Heavy headlining on Sunday with turntablist DJ Yoda keeping things moving on the Bar Stage.

As the name suggests, though, Grillstock is primarily about one thing - meat. As ever, there will be plenty of traders serving up pit-smoked BBQ goodness, as well as US-style 'low and slow' BBQ competitions, bourbon dens, a 'New York Dive Bar', chilli-eating contests and much more.

More acts are set to be announced in the coming weeks - keep an eye on the Grillstock website for details and to grab tickets for this year's festival. And if you can't wait until July, head to the permanent Grillstock restaurants in St Nicks or up on the Triangle.
