Birmingham's food revolution continues apace with news that Taste & Liquor, a new weekly street-food 'festival' and indoor pop-up market featuring some of the regions best pop-up boutiques, is coming to Southside.

Every Saturday from midday to 6pm, the outside space adjacent to The Nightingale on Lower Essex Street will come alive with food traders selling a range of dishes from across the globe, while indoors the Taste & Liquor Street Market promises market stalls stocking everything from home-wear and vintage clothing, to records and cakes.

There's also a cinema showing classic 80s movies, and live music from some of Brum's best DJs, as well as cocktail masterclasses and much more, making Taste & Liquor an irresistible reason to head into the city centre on a Saturday.

With the opening day set for the weekend of Saturday 30 May, all you Villa fans needn't worry about missing out the FA Cup final, either - there'll be an indoor big screen showing all the action on the day, with further plans for other big sporting events to be shown throughout the summer.

Watch out for news of the Southside's 1st City Carnival in August, as well as plenty more special events, culinary masterclasses and tasting sessions as the year goes on.

Entry is just £1 - head over to the Taste & Liquor website for more info on the opening weekend and future events.
