Sistema Tango, Ensemble de Cuatro, with Tomás de Perrate singing lead, pays homage to the career and success of Carmen Amaya on the other side of the Atlantic, where she once went to flee Franco’s regime. They also have a connection to the dancer in the form of the Argentine tango. Free Art Ensemble performs ‘Antes existió el grito’, a work that shapes the most primitive connections between free jazz and flamenco.
