Barcelona has a Rouge bar in almost every neighbourhood, but the ones in Poble-sec can claim to be the first to speak the language of Baudelaire. Laid out like a flat, Rouge is the Louvre of Encants, decorated with Van Eyck and Velázquez paintings, chandeliers and leather sofas. And with its new direction, the bar adopted the name Rouge Lab 2.1 and broadened its offerings to include a cultural programme featuring dance, photography exhibitions, and poetry recitals.
