Burger & Relish was Ghana’s first gourmet burger restaurant and cocktail bar – and it just keeps getting better. The menu has doubled, the cocktail list is now even more appealing and the cooking and ingredients both continue to be superb. Also new is an outdoor bar and entertainment area – The Secret Garden – which will focus on those creative cocktails and add to the goodtime vibe with bands and DJs. The appealing interior has a vintage industrial design, mixing together quirky urban art and other curiosities to create an eclectic East London/Soho New York-style feel. If you’ve enjoyed Meat Liquor or Honest Burger in London, you’ll be at home here. Careful attention has been paid to every detail, from the playlist to the drinks offering. From the food menu, the Ghanaian -inspired Independence Burger comes with jollof rice balls and shito mayo, while the new Three Little Piggies is a chorizo and beef burger with crispy smoked bacon, bacon jam, homemade BBQ sauce and crispy onions. For sides? Well, it’s worth coming for the deep-fried pickles and blue cheese mayo alone. There are good vegetarian options too.
