Olma Colonial Suites

It may be located in Osu, not far from all-action Oxford Street, but this all-suite complex, set around an old colonial house, is a genuine haven. There are currently ten suites, although plans are in place to expand to 14. The suites come equipped with full kitchens including microwaves and, get this, independent and secure fibre optic WiFi (previous Accra visitors won’t need telling what a boon this is), as well as an excellent bathroom. The superior suites are bigger – try to grab one with a balcony. Either way, the flower-ringed terrace that surrounds the natural-looking pool is a sanctuary. Breakfast is provided for guests and they’ll deliver groceries too. All the fittings are top-quality and at this price, the place is easily the bargain of Accra. Book well, well ahead. It’s possible to take suites for up to a year at a time.
